Kidswrite Performance Festival
In June, 2011, Burning Coal will premier four plays by North Carolina students in a professional production. The plays, See You Soon by Morgan Richardson (Enloe High School), Fight for Your Honor by Stuart Rose (home schooled), The Love in This Room by Jarren Moore (8thgrader), The Hangman’s Diary by Jackson Bloom (Enloe High School) were selected from submissions from across Wake and surrounding counties, and will be performed together by members of Burning Coal Theatre Company.

To encourage the young writers of North Carolina, Burning Coal will again hold a festival of new plays, written by students from 6th grade to 12th grade. We will be accepting submissions of one-act plays from students and producing the best selections in Spring 2011 at the Murphey School. Please help us spread the word and help our next generation of writers!
